History Transfer through Entertainment Media in Latin America.
Laboratory for Memory and Digital Media Research
The interdisciplinary research project GUMELAB investigates the construction, transmission and trans-/national reception of Latin American history and memory through telenovelas and TV-series. We analyze what effects these entertainment media have on viewers’ political attitudes and historical consciousness.
